I admit it. I love NPR. I listen to it constantly. Every city I move to I quickly acclimate to the local NPR schedule and get into the rhythm of life there by switching on the radio.
I've been a WBUR - Boston's NPR talk station - listener since the mid-80s, when I first started driving to school on my own. When I returned to Boston last month after four and a half years in Chicago, I was, at first, slightly out of sorts. Where, when, who - I had a new schedule to get used to and new programming to learn. I fell back in with surprising ease, thanks to the (mostly) parallel programming at 'BUR (but I'll admit - I miss you Jerome McDonell).
One of the things I found while exploring accounts on Twitter was Public Radio Kitchen - the WBUR food blog that aggregates posts from Boston-focused bloggers who live in WBUR's listening area (which includes anyone who listens via the web). Recipes, reviews, and Boston food chit-chat make up the bulk of the posts, although they do use the blog to organize pot luck dinners at the station for foodies and blogger and others who are just food curious.
Today they've linked to the Sportello post on my blog. Check it out!
